Inner Revival Chai Elixir

f72df31161e9a146e5231b91561852dbI used to adore coffee. i drank it every morning and couldn’t function without it. The smell brings me back to the warmth of my grandmothers kitchen and rainy days at my kitchen window with a book or pen and paper. It was my favorite tool for any creative endeavor. There’s something so incredibly soothing about having a warm and steamy cup of tea or coffee.

As I have become more in my body through the years, I’ve noticed that having coffee everyday, throws me off. I feel burnt out at the end the day and it numbs my sensitivity to what my body is telling me.. and usually its to slow down.  I realized that its not the coffee itself that I’m wanting, its having something warming and yummy in a solid hand made ceramic mug, and the ritual of a daily tonic that it so attractive and enlivening to me.

Here’s an elixir recipe that’s rich and flavorful and energizing but grounds you and nourishes you, other than depleting your adrenals and dehydrating you like coffee.
